thisisholt.co.uk is a privately funded project to get Holt on the internet. There are a few small pages about holt dotted on various websites but there is no all inclusive prime resource of information and contacts, and this is what we hope to achieve. This site is being supplied as an means of promoting trade and tourism for the town and local business, and to offer an impartial forum for the promotion and exchange of information about the many activities that go on in the local area.

Who is 'we' you may ask. Well we is creospace a small indendent website design company who really is Gary Dickenson, and thats me! The idea came to me really when I started to get fustrated at not being able to get information I needed about where I lived from the internet. Being a web deisgner I naturally turn to the internet for information. On one occasion I broke a window and needed a glazer. I believe in using local services if they are available so I first turned to the internet and there was nothing local, I then checked the local papersand nothing, finally turning to the yellow pages i had to muddle through hundreds of glazers till I finally found a local one! The rest is history as they say!

This site will have humble beginings I'm sure but I do hope that soon it will serve its community and the visitors to our wonderful town.
